- Chicago’s Music Box Theatre now lists The Situation starring Damian Lewis in their Winter Calendar (PDF file, see page 4.) The film will open there on March 2nd for a two-week run. Midwestern Damian Lewis fans hope to get together to see the movie at that time.
- Jen shared the list of upcoming Damian Lewis performances on Australian television. A New Zealand television critic selected Friends and Crocodiles (starring Damian Lewis and Jodhi May) as number 2 of the “Top 10” best programs on NZ TV this week.
- Please vote for Damian Lewis as “Best Leading Man in a Period Drama” for his performance as Soames Forsyte in The Forsyte Saga; winners will be featured in a PBS Masterpiece Theatre special that will air on March 4th.
- According to this Cineuropa article director Raoul Ruiz will shoot a new movie titled Le Sens de la Nuit in Paris starting in January before filming Love and Virture which may star Damian Lewis as Charlemagne’s famous knight Orlando/Roland (unconfirmed).
- Lindy reminded us that Philosophy’s Gingerbread Man hot salt scrub is a wonderful Christmas gift because “…the gingerbread man will nourish your body and soul. He is a gift every girl deserves, at any age whether she is single or married”! [And while you’re having a giggle over that one; don’t forget to vote for the Ginger(bread) Man himself over at the delightfully silly mancrush.com site. And don't forget to vote for Major Winters too!]

- Damian Lewis DVD Update:
» Chromophobia: US members report that the process for ordering the Region 2 Chromophobia DVD from Amazon.fr is quick and easy – even if you cannot read French. The DVD is scheduled for release on January 4th with an estimated arrival date in the US of January 16th – 18th. The DVD offers both the original English version with French subtitles and a dubbed French version. This DVD will only play in Region-free or Region 2 DVD players (UK, EU, MidEast, Egypt, SoAfrica, and Japan).
» Much Ado About Nothing: You can purchase each episode of the Shakespeare Retold series separately on January 3rd when the Region 4 Australian DVD is released. The program also available in Region 2 as part of the complete set.
» Colditz: Although the Region 1 (US, Canada) Colditz DVD was scheduled for release on December 12th some online vendors had reported a short delay. Several members have now received notice that their DVDs have already shipped (or will ship within a few days) and may arrive after Christmas. A Region 4 DVD that offers both Spanish subtitles and a Spanish-dubbed version is now also available from Mexico. The Colditz DVD has been out in Region 2 (UK and Dutch editions) for some time.
» Stormbreaker: The Region 1 Stormbreaker DVD is scheduled for release on December 19th but some vendors are currently showing it as “unavailable”. However, one member has received notice from PlayUSA that her DVD has already shipped. Also WalMart is now offering the DVD for pre-order at a very reasonable price.
The Region 2 DVD is currently available in the UK.
» Keane: The Region 2 UK release of Keane is scheduled for January 22nd – don’t miss this one, it offers Damian Lewis’s finest performance on film (so far!)
Keane is currently available in Region 1 (US, Canada) and
Region 2 (France) and will be released in Region 4 (Australia) on March 14th.

- Ann reported that Walmart is now offering the Region 1 DVD of Stormbreaker at a very reasonable price.
- Helen McCrory has been nominated as Best British Actress In A Supporting Role by the London Critics’ Circle Film Award for her portrayal of Cherie Blair in The Queen. The awards ceremony will take place at London’s Dorchester Hotel on February 8th.
- Fountain of Life productions has added a photo and information for Damian Lewis to their web page for Love and Virtue.
[Note: it has not yet been confirmed that Damian will star in this feature film as the romantic hero Orlando (Roland).]
