  • Damian Lewis is scheduled to guest appear this month on Wogan: Now and Then, the UKTV Gold television chat show hosted by Terry Wogan. The program is filmed before a live studio audience and the tickets are free; click here and here for more information. (Thanks to Selene for finding out about this upcoming broadcast!)

  • According to Markham & Froggatt (Damian Lewis’s theatrical agents in the UK) he will play Prime Minister Tony Blair in a special program titled Confessions Of A Diary Secretary that will air on ITV on January 25th. (Thanks to Ann for discovering this information!)
  • Damian Lewis supporters all over the world were very disappointed to learn that the intense and powerful film Keane (featuring his brilliant performance as William Keane) did not advance in any categories to the second round of voting for the BAFTA UK film awards. It is a shame that this outstanding film and Damian’s Oscar-worthy performance have not received the recognition deserved but that doesn’t change the fact that this is one of the finest and most important pictures ever made with an astonishing performance by Damian Lewis.

But we were happy to hear that Helen McCrory did advance to the second round of BAFTA voting in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role as Cherie Blair in The Queen (congratulations, Helen!).
