    » Tune in to NBC because they continue to run promotions for Life including a new, longer advertisement strongly featuring Damian Lewis.

    » NBC’s fall shows will be presented to the Television Critics Association summer press tour on July 16th and 17th. Damian Lewis and his Life co-stars will participate in a panel presentation on one of those two days (thanks to Ann for confirming the dates.)

    » This article about the possible impact on the fall season of a potential writer’s strike in Hollywood says “…the best new cop drama is Life…It’s Monk meets House meets Burke’s Law, and absolutely not to be missed.”

  • Click here for information about TV Guide’s coverage of the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour. Coverage will include a one-hour TV special titled Fall TV: First Look which is scheduled to air on August 19th. (Thanks to Ann for the link!) Damian Lewis will take part in a celebrity panel with his Life co-stars during the press tour.
  • Author Charles Cumming’s first novel A Spy by Nature is now available for purchase in the US from Amazon.com. Cumming is a friend of Damian Lewis and Damian has mentioned his books in interviews in the past. In February 2006 Damian read passages from one of Cumming’s books titled The Spanish Game at a book signing with the author.

    Helen McCrory and Damian Lewis were married on July 4th (not July 7th as previously rumored in the press!) Damian will leave for Los Angeles tomorrow to work on his new NBC series Life and Helen will be joining him soon. Click here to read the message from Damian’s associate Melissa.
  • Thanks to Krista for posting this link for a new review of Life from Brian Ford Sullivan of The Futon Critic (spoiler warning!) Band of Brothers fans will be excited to learn that Michael Cudlitz (Sgt. Randleman) will have a guest appearance in the first episode!
  • This message was posted on IMDb by james-1455 (registration required). He had the opportunity to view an early, advance copy of The Baker, the new film written and directed by Gareth Lewis and starring Damian Lewis (and produced by Adrian Sturges and Damian Lewis.) Here’s an excerpt of his intriguing comments:

    “…So is it a good film? Yes. The film is unusual with more than a touch of the surreal about it…It also has one of the most innovative sex scenes that I’ve seen in a film in a long time…” :D

And this piece in the Observer discusses unreasonable prejudices against gingers and references Damian as a “redhead hero”!
  • According to IMDb, Stormbreaker featuring Damian Lewis will be released theatrically in Argentina on August 2nd and on DVD in Germany in October.
