    Helen McCrory and Damian Lewis were married on July 4th (not July 7th as previously rumored in the press!) Damian will leave for Los Angeles tomorrow to work on his new NBC series Life and Helen will be joining him soon. Click here to read the message from Damian’s associate Melissa.
  • Thanks to Krista for posting this link for a new review of Life from Brian Ford Sullivan of The Futon Critic (spoiler warning!) Band of Brothers fans will be excited to learn that Michael Cudlitz (Sgt. Randleman) will have a guest appearance in the first episode!
  • This message was posted on IMDb by james-1455 (registration required). He had the opportunity to view an early, advance copy of The Baker, the new film written and directed by Gareth Lewis and starring Damian Lewis (and produced by Adrian Sturges and Damian Lewis.) Here’s an excerpt of his intriguing comments:

    “…So is it a good film? Yes. The film is unusual with more than a touch of the surreal about it…It also has one of the most innovative sex scenes that I’ve seen in a film in a long time…” :D

    This Telegraph article about sun protection and skin cancer prevention cites Damian Lewis as a “pale role model” who has proven that “pale can be interesting” (no kidding!) And this piece in the Observer discusses unreasonable prejudices against gingers and references Damian as a “redhead hero”!
  • According to IMDb, Stormbreaker featuring Damian Lewis will be released theatrically in Argentina on August 2nd and on DVD in Germany in October.

  • Chromophobia starring Damian Lewis will screen at the 27th Cambridge Film Festival on July 12th. The film will be followed by a Question and Answer session with director Martha Fiennes, actor Ben Chaplin, and photography director George Tiffin. Click here to purchase tickets.
  • According to the Hollywood Reporter actor Brent Sexton has been added to the cast of NBC’s upcoming drama Life as a regular cast member; he plays the ex-partner of Detective Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis). Also, actress Claudia Black has been cast in Life as a character called Jennifer Conover.
  • This interview with Damian Lewis and review of Keane from the 2006 Cambridge Film Festival says that “Damian portrays …Keane with an exactitude of shattering dimensions.”
  • UK magazine alert! The July 10, 2007 issue of OK magazine offers photos (including pics of Damian Lewis) taken recently at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball benefiting AIDS research.

  • NBC, the US television network, is now running primetime, promotional advertisements for Life starring Damian Lewis! (Thanks to Ann for the head’s up!)
  • And thanks to Gryffynchan for the news that Damian Lewis and his Life co-stars Adam Arkin and Sarah Shahi will appear as panelists at the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour which takes place at the Beverly Hilton from July 10th - 26th (the dates/times of the NBC panels are not yet known.)
  • Australia’s Channel Ten has acquired broadcast rights for Life for their upcoming season. Ten’s Chief Programming Director David Mott stated that Life is one of “the hottest shows to come out of the LA screenings;” click here to read more.
  • This weekend, starting July 7th, the US History Channel will be running a Band of Brothers marathon.
  • Vote for Damian Lewis as the Hello! Most Attractive Man for the month of June!
