- A rumor posted on the IMDb Forum says that Damian Lewis may be cast to portray the great actor Steve McQueen in a new biopic! The message below (registration required) was posted earlier today by andrew-talbot:
“Just heard Damian Lewis is rumoured to play Steve McQueen in a new biopic of Steve McQueen. Rumours originally came out of the recent Sundance Festival and then further talk is coming from a production company linked to Fox Searchlight. Pre-production to begin after Lewis has completed next series of ‘Life’, which begins shooting in May. Sam Mendes was rumoured to be in talks as director. Keep your eye on Screen International.”
(No idea if there is any truth to it, but wouldn’t it be cool if it were true?)
