  • Big news! The UK premiere of the The Escapist with Damian Lewis will take place on June 10th in London at the Apollo West End to benefit Diabetes UK. The screening will be followed by a reception and several members of the cast and crew will attend including director Rupert Wyatt along with actors Brian Cox, Joseph Fiennes, and Dominic Cooper.     The interviewer asked Damian about his famous Elvis Presley impression performed at the Berkeley Square Ball in July 2005 in support of the Princes Trust. Video clips of this historic event can be viewed on YouTube or downloaded from the Multimedia page. :-D

  • The Los Angeles Times is running an article about Rupert Wyatt’s upcoming film This Is for the Mara Salvatrucha. Wyatt directed and co-authored The Escapist featuring Damian Lewis and he is one of Damian’s Picture Farm business partners.

  • Actress Kate Ashfield (who co-stars with Damian Lewis in The Baker) is currently in Spain presenting the film at the 2008 Ibiza International Film Festival; click here and here for articles about her appearance. The
    Ibiza Sun had this to say about the festival:

    “The Second Edition of the IbizaIff will welcome Sir Alan Parker as Patron. Other exciting names that will assist this year are Michael Radford, Michael Nyman, Mike Figgis, Jacqueline Bisset, Mira Sorvino and Kate Ashfield.

    Friday May 23rd sees the kick off of the second edition of the IbizaIff – with a great new jury line up and new digital section together with a star studded guest list including Spanish diva Elsa Pataky.

    The IbizaIff tagline “celebrating the independent Spirit” continues to be the backbone of the festival with a host of indie films lined up both in and out of competition.

    The festival will run from Friday May 23 through to 31 May with the awards ceremony taking place at the fabulous new Palacio de Congreso.”

    The Baker was written and directed by Gareth Lewis and produced by Damian Lewis and Adrian Sturges for Picture Farm. The film is currently playing at selected theatres in the UK and is also available on Region 2 DVD.

  • Thanks to Jen for updating us about Damian Lewis television broadcasts in Australia in June and July including Stormbreaker and Keane.
  • We are also grateful to Katerina for sending information about telecasts of The Baker starring Damian Lewis on HBO in the Czech Republic but it is still not known if the film is dubbed or shown in English with subtitles. HBO is airing the film in several eastern European countries; click here for information given in Serbian.
