Oh no! Today NBC announced delays in the release of new and returning shows for the fall season. Season 2 of Life starring Damian Lewis has been pushed back a month and will not premiere until October 3rd! Click here for the sad news.
Lucky fans in Eastern Europe can watch The Baker starring Damian Lewis on television on HBO! The show airs tonight with repeats on the 29th and 30th.

A new (3.5 minute) video montage titled “What’s Life All About?” for the first season of Life starring Damian Lewis is now available on NBC.com.

The series continues to gain supporters all over the world and tonight’s episode of Life on South Africa’s M-Net channel is the “TV Pick of the Day”.
This reviewer’s comments about The Baker starring Damian Lewis include:

“…this film blossomed into an absolute gem! … The funeral is a joy to watch … laugh out loud stuff most of the time!”

The Baker is currently screening in the UK and also at the Ibiza International Film Festival in Spain.

More DVD news: In an interview with Sofia Chang, Sr. VP of Marketing for HBO Video Home Media Magazine reveals that a new Blu-ray disc version of the acclaimed HBO mini-series Band of Brothers will be released this year:

“…Band of Brothers is No. 6 on the all-time TV DVD top-sellers list in terms of units sold, and No. 4 in the season-set category, according to Nielsen VideoScan, and is among the top TV DVD revenue generators as well. Chang said a Blu-ray version of Band of Brothers is in the works for later this year…”

The series stars Damian Lewis in his Golden Globe nominated performance as Major Richard Winters.
In this interview for the Evening Standard British actor Julian Ovenden (Val Dartie in The Forsyte Saga) cited his Forsyte co-stars Rupert Graves and Damian Lewis as his role models.
