The Twitter account seems to have already been deleted but just to let you know @DamianWLewis was not Damian
Lewis. According to Damian’s assistant: “I have heard from Damian and I can confirm it is NOT him on
twitter” and that “If and when he does set one up I will let you know.”
He also sends an update on the rumored project The Quiet Ones: “He was offered it but has had to turn it down due to other commitments.”
Update: In case you only see this single entry, Damian Lewis joined Twitter a day later. You can now follow him at @lewis_damian!

According to Damian’s personal assistant, Damian Lewis and Helen
McCrory will be taking part in the Macmillan Celebrity Christmas
Stocking Auction on December 7th. Damian and Helen have contributed a stocking list and will be attending (as always, if work commitments allow). Here’s what the Macmillan Cancer
Support website says about the event:
Some of the fabulous celebrities who created their dream Christmas
stockings in 2010 included Nicola Roberts, Sting, Ricky Gervais,
Christian Louboutin and Twiggy.
In 2011 we aim to raise £200,000. Joan Collins, Frank Lampard, Dame
Shirley Bassey, Denise Van Outen, Alan Carr, Jenny Eclair, Arlene
Phillips, Sarah Harding, Antonio Carluccio and Kevin Spacey have all told
us what they would like to wake up to on Christmas morning.
Join us at this year’s spectacular Macmillan Celebrity Christmas
Stocking Auction on Wednesday 7 December, where you’ll have the chance to
bid for some of the most desirable stockings yet.
This year’s party will sparkle and the auction will be bursting with
incredible luxury items including a gift of gold in every stocking.
Enjoy a drinks reception at The Grosvenor Square Marriott Hotel,
London followed by a three course dinner whilst the Celebrity Stocking
Auction takes place conducted by Hugh Edmeades of Christie’s and co-
presented by Neil Fox.
Fantastic live entertainment will take centre stage, including a
special performance from Rick Astley, making this one of the most
glamorous events to be seen at this Christmas.
Visit the Macmillan Cancer Support website for more
information and to book tickets.

Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory are both featured in this week’s ES Magazine and talk about family and their old party animal days.
Helen and I partied very, very hard before we met and then we collided at the Almeida in 2004 [in Five Gold Rings] and together we partied even harder. We used to lose entire evenings listening to jazz at Ronnie Scott’s. We love to dance, and when we weren’t out we’d put on music really loudly and dance around the house, just the two of us.
I proposed to Helen in Paris. I tried to do it on the Pont Neuf – I was sweating bullets and wrestling in my overcoat pocket for the ring, which had got stuck in a little Cellophane bag, but when I finally got it out, a gaggle of Japanese tourists surrounded us like a flock of seagulls, taking pictures, and the moment was totally destroyed. I now take Helen back to Paris for three days without our two kids [Manon, four, and Gulliver, three] every February for our anniversary. We walk about the city, and sit in bars drinking rosé.

Update: I’ve added screencaps from the e-dition to the gallery.
Small update from Michael, Damian’s assistant: Damian left the UK on Wednesday and is now in Charlotte. According to the Homeland Casting Facebook, filming starts on June 14th.

Damian Lewis’s assistant, Michael, sent a message saying that Damian Lewis will be presenting the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2011 Philips British Academy Television Awards this Sunday, May 22nd. The awards show will be held at Grosvenor House in London and will broadcast live on BBC1 from 8:00pm – 10:00pm UK time.
A couple Will-related articles below. Nothing specific to Damian, but there’s interesting background stuff on the film:
BBC News – Kenny Dalglish’s movie role a ‘first and last’
Liverpool FC – Stevie, Carra and Kenny to star in movie (includes radio interview with director Ellen Perry
We received an update from Michael
concerning Damian’s upcoming projects and it looks like at the moment Damian is attached to film Driven but that they are “still waiting for dates to be confirmed for the filming of HOMELAND. Until all of this is finalised nothing is
confirmed for any other work.” Homeland producers said earlier this year that Homeland would film from June to October. Given the possible filming dates for Homeland, Michael also says “It does not look like the Hay Festival will be in Damian’s diary either but to date this is TBC (To Be Confirmed).”
