Description

An eight part abridgement by Sarah Kilgariff of Baroness Orczy’s enduring story of high adventure and romantic heroism set at the time of the French Revolution, read by Damian Lewis.

A tale of intrigue and heroism set in both France and England against the backdrop of the Reign of Terror in 1792. The mysterious Scarlet Pimpernel and his accomplices save innocent victims sentenced to summary execution, even snatching them from the very foot of the guillotine itself.
