Though landing good roles is hard, some TV actors managed to do so consistently over long periods of time. And Redditors have appreciated them for it. These talented actors have been fortunate enough to have amazing streaks of awesome TV shows and performances over the past few decades. And their impressive resumes haven’t gone unnoticed. On Reddit, fans have named the individuals who can always be expected to be part of a magnificent TV project. Besides Damian Lewis, others who made the list were Timothy Olyphant and David Costabile, who coincidentally have both worked with Damian on the projects Dreamcatcher and Billions, respectively.

There are a lot of great shows and movies about bad men from which people take the wrong lesson. Some guys wish they could be feared and respected like Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) or Walter White (Bryan Cranston). They wish they could live in Mad Men times because “men were men” then. They watch The Wolf of Wall Street and see the criminal excess as aspirational, failing to recognize that it’s a cautionary tale.

Those are exactly the kind of people who watch Billions and shout “Yo Bob-ay!” at Damian Lewis out of passing cars when they see him on the street. Lewis’ character, hedge fund titan Bobby “Axe” Axelrod, is not someone you’re supposed to root for. He’s a greedy crook who made millions by shorting airline stocks while his employees were dying on 9/11. So it’s weird to Lewis when wealthy women come up to him and say “you are playing my husband, did you know that?”

British GQ: The Theatrical Portfolio Starring Damian Lewis

We announced earlier that Damian would be appearing in British GQ Magazine in anticipation of the Olivier Awards.

We can now confirm Damian will appear in GQ’s “Theatrical Portfolio” in the March 2018 issue, on stands this Thursday! And here is the sample magazine cover. Other performers appearing are James Norton, Sienna Miller, Bryan Cranston and Andrew Garfield.

Damian’s theatrical performance as Martin Gray, an architect in love with a goat in The Goat Play, or Who is Sylvia? was an Edward Albee revival that ran from March through June, 2017 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London’s West End. Will Damian be nominated for an Olivier Award for The Goat Play?

We will soon find out when the official nominations are announced March 6th. The 2018 Laurence Olivier Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Royal Albert Hall in London. For more information, please visit the Official London Theatre website.
