Damian virtually attended ‘Dexter Fletcher In Conversation’ celebrating Fletcher’s 50 years in show business, which also featured a screening of Fletcher’s latest directorial project Ghosted, at BFI Southbank on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in London, England. During the event Damian’s recorded video message claimed he modeled his career on that of Fletcher, who shot to fame aged ten in Bugsy Malone. Fletcher went on to star opposite Damian in the war drama Band Of Brothers before becoming a director of hit films including Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody. Those in attendance at the event included Sandy Powell, Jonathan Pryce, Taron Egerton and Rami Malek.

As previously reported A Spy Among Friends has been nominated for a BAFTA TV Award as one of the very best TV mini-series of 2022. Other contenders in the same category are Mood, The Thief and This is Going to Hurt, which has received 6 nominations. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards will be hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan and will take place on Sunday, May 14, 2023, and will be broadcast on BBC One and iPlayer at 7:00 p.m.

Broadcaster and creator of Chicken Shop Date Amelia Dimoldenberg completes Sunday’s hosting line-up in a new backstage position, interviewing stars as they come off stage, as part of the BBC One broadcast. Audiences will be able to tune into the action from 3pm via @BAFTA with Clara Amfo and Michelle Visage leading the red carpet coverage.

This weekend marks the return of ‘Bridgerton,’ a series that celebrates society journalism—and lusting after Brits. To celebrate, here’s an exploration of the different types of attractive male British actors—from the prototypes to the ones currently ruling the screen and a select group of men who currently dominate Hollywood: Hot British Actors™ (HBAs).

The HBA is hardly a new phenomenon; it’s been part of the American cultural furniture since your grandparents were down bad (or whatever the postwar equivalent is) for Sean Connery and Richard Burton. But now these actors are everywhere—wielding affected American accents like a plumber wields a wrench. They’re hiding in plain sight, not just in our romantic dramas and superhero movies, but our network sitcoms and prime-time soaps as well. Paul Revere is rummaging through his saddlebags right now, trying to figure out how many lanterns to light for “by screen.”

The 65th annual Evening Standard Theatre Awards took place this evening, November 24, 2019, at the London Coliseum to honor another year of brilliant performances of stage stars.

This year’s star-studded ceremony was presented by Cush Jumbo and co-hosted by Evening Standard owner Evgeny Lebedev and American Vogue editor-in-chief Dame Anna Wintour, alongside Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory. The awards were held in association with Michael Kors. Other stars including Olivia Colman, Ruth Wilson, Lashana Lynch, Taron Egerton, Glenda Jackson and Naomi Scott were there to hand out awards.
