– Red Carpet, Champagne Reception
& Ceremony –
Damian attended the British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs) tonight with his family, including his father John Watcyn Lewis, daughter Manon, and son Gulliver. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as King Henry VIII in the BBC/PBS Masterpiece television mini-series Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light.
Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light also received a BAFTA nomination for Best Drama Series and Peter Kosminsky was nominated for Director: Fiction.
The 71st annual BAFTA TV Awards was held Sunday, May 11, 2025 at London’s Royal Festival Hall and hosted by Alan Cumming.
The glamorous evening started with the VIP red carpet arrivals hosted by Suzi Ruffell and Tom Allen, where we caught a glimpse of Damian and his daughter Manon before Damian began dancing 🙂
We absolutely love that Damian made the BAFTA event a family affair, bringing his father John Watcyn Lewis, daughter Manon, and son Gully to the ceremony as his guests of honor.
Next up was the champagne reception indoors after walking the red carpet.
During the ceremony Billy Porter was one of the presenters who gave the award in Damian’s category.
Unfortunately Damian did not take home the award for Best Supporting Actor. Instead actor Ariyon Bakare won in this category for Mr. Loverman.
We would like to congratulate Damian on his well-deserved nomination!
