The Rock for Ruth 2025 event was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 and included an exclusive day of cricket, music, and philanthropy.
First up was an unforgettable day of an all-star charity cricket match and pitch-side hospitality at Burton Court in Chelsea, London. The cricket match was hosted by Sir Andrew Strauss and featured world-class players and celebrity guests such as, Damian Lewis, Sir Andrew Strauss (team captain), Rob Key (team captain), Harry Judd, Kate Cross, Steven Finn, Alex Hartley, Jack Meacher, Toby Marriott, and more.
It was Team Key vs. Team Struss, with Team Key fielding first and Damian and Andrew Strauss opening the batting for Team Strauss. It was a tightly contested second inning, with Team Key sealing the victory.
The cricket match was followed by a fine dining experience accompanied by an exclusive, up-close set from the legendary band Razorlight, along with a special guest performance by KT Tunstall.

In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the late wife of Sir Andrew Strauss, the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died in December 2018 at the age of 46 years old. In her memory, Sir Andrew launched The Ruth Strauss Foundation to provide emotional support for families to prepare for the death of a parent and to raise awareness of the need for more research and collaboration in the fight against non-smoking lung cancers.
