– From Wolf Hall and Fackham Hall,
to Music and Theatre –

by Damianista | Fan Fun With Damian Lewis | December, 2025

Well, it is THAT time of the year again! We have “Best of 2025” lists wherever we look: Best Books of 2025, Best Movies of 2025, Best Music of 2025 and so on… And, it is our utmost pleasure to jump on the “Best of” wagon with our TOP Damian Lewis Moments of 2025! As we take the last weeks of the year to revisit the year Damian has had personally and professionally, we very much hope to put a smile on your face.

We don’t intend to rank the top moments as many “Best of” lists do. We pick the moments in which, we believe, Damian shines as a brilliant actor, a fantastic musician, a wonderful storyteller, a true gentleman, a serious athlete or just a guy who knows to have a good time and bring them to you.

Orwell: 2+2=5

We’re kicking off our Top Damian Lewis Moments of 2025 with Orwell: 2 + 2 = 5, a timely and captivating documentary brought to life by the brilliant Raoul Peck — and Damian lends his voice to George Orwell himself, giving the story its beating heart.

Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light

Wolf Hall is one of the best things that ever happened to TV. A slow-cooking, dark, and witty political drama, it has a contemporary feel. Peter Straughan’s script is wonderfully condensed, with most of the conversation coming directly from Mantel’s pen. Hearing some of the best lines I have ever read spoken by the characters is delightful. Peter Kosminsky’s directing is flawless. Every shot feels like a painting. And while some characters needed to be recast, the continuity is beyond impressive that you don’t feel the nine-year interval between the two productions.  The entire cast gives a masterclass in acting. Mark Rylance and Damian Lewis, as the two leads, are electric together. Thus, the long wait was entirely worth it. And all of this makes the return of Damian Lewis to small screen as Henry VIII a top Damian Lewis moment of the year!

Shakespeare For Every Day of the Year-LIVE!

One of my favorite traditions on Fan Fun is writing the Top Damian Lewis Moments of the Year. And every single year, Damian somehow makes this job both very easy and completely impossible at the same time — because how do you even choose?

He acts. He sings. He plays sports. He lends his voice to art work. He supports charities. And in May 2025, he gave us a moment that felt very special: Shakespeare, live, under the stars, in Regent’s Park. I envy everyone that was there that night in the most positive way!

Yes. Let’s talk about that night.

Philanthropy: CureEB and HvH Arts

Damian continued his meaningful work in 2025 as a devoted patron of two charities, Cure EB and the Sir Hubert von Herkomer Arts Foundation (Sir HvH Arts). His support is continuous; year after year, he gives his time, energy, and voice to raise awareness and funds, ensuring both organizations continue their life-changing work. And as always, seeing Damian show up for these causes remains a true highlight of the year.

Music: Touring the Emerald Isle

Damian recently took to Instagram to reflect on his mini-tour of the Emerald Isle. And now that I reflect on my own week long trip to Ireland to follow Damian and the band from Cork to Dublin to Limerick, it was so many train rides, so many hotel rooms, so much gray skies, and so little sleep! And it was all WORTH IT for the fantastic music, fun chats, pints of beer and big laughs with people I adore! Ireland, you were something else! Damian’s mini-tour was packed with energy, good vibes, and those up-close moments that make live music so special. And it goes without saying that the Ireland tour was a TOP Damian Lewis Moment 2025.

Fackham Hall

One of the top moments this year has been Fackham Hall, Damian’s gloriously unhinged spoof of the British period drama! It is now showing at a movie theater near you in the US and the UK but also available for streaming on major streaming platforms like AppleTV, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango and such.

Homeland Available to Stream

One of the biggest — and honestly most surprising — Damian Lewis moments of 2025 didn’t come from a red carpet, a film premiere, or a BAFTA nomination. It came from Netflix. When Homeland, a show that ended in 2018, dropped globally this year, it suddenly climbed into Netflix’s Top 10 like it had never gone away. My inbox filled with messages. Social media lit up. People were arguing about Carrie again, bashing about Dana again, screaming about Brody again. And here on Fan Fun, something magical happened — our old Homeland posts from 2015, 2016, 2017 suddenly came alive with clicks and comments from brand new viewers and fans who returned after a decade. Twelve years after Nicholas Brody left Homeland forever, he is still very popular. And so I officially declare this revival one of Damian Lewis’ top moments of 2025, because what other actor has a character so powerful, so haunting, so emotionally catastrophic that he rises from the dead to ruin us all over again?

Personal and Family Time

We spend so much time celebrating Damian’s work — the roles, the music, the theatre, the awards — and rightly so. But every once in a while, it feels just as important (and honestly, just as lovely) to pause and appreciate the quieter moments. The ones that remind us that behind the performances, there is also a dad, a partner, a son, a brother, a friend — a full human being living a real life.

So here it is: Top Personal Moments of Damian Lewis in 2025.
