Damian and Claire Danes presented the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series to the cast of The Pitt at the 32nd annual Actor Awards on Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California.

Before announcing the winner in their category, the two had a fun bit:
Damian: “Truly incredible shows in this category. Five all-time greats. Remind me, Claire, was Homeland…did it ever win for Ensemble?”
Claire: “No, no, it did not. And that’s why we’re here today. We would like a rematch.”
Damian: “We lost to, what, Downton Abbey? Breaking Bad? Nope, never heard of them. Bryan Cranston, Michelle Dockery, you’re great, we love you; but you’re going down.”
Fans loved the mini Homeland reunion on stage, but it wasn’t just Claire and Damian at the award show. Remember who played Dana Brody’s love interest on Homeland? That’s right, Timothée Chalamet!
Claire: “Our ensemble was all solid, heavy hitters…F. Murray Abraham, Mandy Patinkin…we even had Timothée Chalamet on our show. Where do you think he learned how to handle the stress of a Safdie movie?”
Damian: “We made you, Timothée. Just saying. And we’re ready for a recount.”
Timothée and his castmates also presented that evening, introducing their nominated film Marty Supreme. In addition, Timothée was nominated for Male Actor in a Leading Role for Marty Supreme.
Before the ceremony began, stars and thespians turned out to walk the red carpet. For the first time in its 31-year history, the annual awards revealed a red carpet dress code. The fashion theme for the 2026 ceremony was ‘Reimagining Hollywood Glamour from the ’20s and ’30s.’
Looking ever so dapper, Damian came straight from Savile Row, wearing British bespoke clothing designer and tailor Edward Sexton.
Damian chatted with Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier about his fancy threads while on the red carpet. When asked if he and “Danesy” would ever work together again Damian joked saying Claire still makes him nervous, “I don’t know if she’s going to arrest me or make love to me.”
And who was Damian’s date for the night? None other than his Band of Brothers castmate Dick Speight, who was his date at the SAG Awards 12 years earlier. Some things never change 😉

The Actor Awards (formally known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards) ceremony was presented by SAG-AFTRA live on Netflix and will be available for 28 days following the initial broadcast.
Kristen Bell hosted this year’s honors for a third time and Woody Harrelson presented the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award to screen legend Harrison Ford.
Additional presenters included Timothée Chalamet, Sterling K. Brown, Lisa Kudrow, Chase Infiniti, Teyana Taylor, Jenna Fischer, Mindy Kaling, Ellie Kemper, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jenna Ortega, Odessa A’zion, Viola Davis, Andy Garcia, Sean Astin, Michael B. Jordan, Jacob Elordi, Samuel L. Jackson, Allison Janney, Benecio del Toro, Regina Hall, Sarah Paulson, and Jessie Buckley.
According to Elle Decor Magazine, the Shrine Auditorium was transformed with glamorous Art Deco touches inspired by Hollywood’s Golden Age. To evoke the atmosphere of Hollywood’s Jazz Age clubs, there was a dedicated, two-tiered platform area with textured pony walls for the house band musicians right on stage. Production designers took inspiration from old bandstands and the vintage night club era.
The balcony that wrapped the entire room was clad in a gilded bas relief, while giant, custom sculpted golden palm trees dotted the perimeter of the main floor that appeared to grow through the balcony.
What a night! Congrats to all the nominees and winners.
