King Charles III hosted a special Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Thursday, May 14, 2026, marking the official start and celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of The King’s Trust.

Damian, ambassador for the charity, was among a host of stars, alumni, volunteers, young achievers, and award recipients who the monarch welcomed during the afternoon reception.

Held in the Palace gardens in central London, the celebration brought together supporters of the charity founded by the King in 1976, when he was Prince of Wales.

Formerly known as The Prince’s Trust, the organization helps young people aged 11 to 30 with education, employment, enterprise and confidence by building programs to support more than one million people over the past five decades.

Damian’s plus one for the event was his sister Amanda Yaxley. Others in attendance were Dame Helen Mirren, Idris Elba, Rod Stewart, Penny Lancaster, fashion designer Oswald Boateng, model and broadcaster Myleene Klass, DJ and producer Carl Cox, author Laura Bingham, and television personality Tasha Ghouri, alongside Victoria Nightscales, this year’s King’s Trust England Award recipient.

The Buckingham Palace reception followed Monday night’s major anniversary celebration at Royal Albert Hall.

Thursday’s garden party saw thousands of invited guests gather on the lawns of Buckingham Palace.
