– A Little Nod to David Bowie –
It’s Friday release day! Damian released his fourth single from his new album Sweet Chaos called ‘Traffic Jam.’ The video seems to feature a recent car purchase Damian made and was directed by Super 8 filmmaker Sir Ramble of Ramble Motion Pictures.
In June of 2026 Damian shared with audience members at his album launch signings about the David Bowie connection in the song:
“Those of you who know their music will recognize a motif in the middle of this.”
Damian shared that he contacted Bowie’s estate for permission to use the ‘Space Oddity’ reference.
Bowie: “Here am I floating ’round my tin can. Far above the moon. Planet Earth is blue and there’s nothing I can do.”
Damian: “Here am I, I’m just sitting in my tin can and I’m stuck in another stupid traffic jam.”
