A Day of Cricket and Bad Weather

Damian was dressed for a day of cricket as he chatted with other guests in attendance for day one of the 2019 Ashes Series, England v Australia test match, at Lord’s in London. He enjoyed a glass of wine from the balcony of the clubhouse while waiting for the action to begin, but even a delayed start time was abandoned as the capital was hit by the torrential weather.

L to R: Ed Sheeran, Sheeran’s father, Gareth Lewis, Damian Lewis
Damian and his brother Gareth Lewis, along with Ed Sheeran, Prince Edward, Prime Minister David Cameron, comedian Michael McIntyre, and Muse Rocker Matt Bellamy enjoyed the afternoon in the stalls of the Group Stage match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 between England and Australia at Lords in London on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.
Damian then greeted the England football manager Gareth Southgate:
Damian is back from summer vacation in Italy and attended day four of England vs. India’s second test match at Lord’s Cricket grounds on Sunday, August 12, 2018. According to one fan (below), Damian sat in the Edrich stands, upper level.
According to Wormsley Cricket’s tweet, Damian played for the Sir Paul Getty XI team vs. the touring Canterbury CC team from Melbourne today, Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Wormsley Estate in Stokenchurch, a village and civil parish in the Chiltern Hills of Buckinghamshire, England. The cricket match began at 11:00 a.m. and was open to the public with free ground entry. Reports indicate Chris St. George, MCC’s CEO and Damian opened the match, with JP Getty’s XI thrashing the visiting Australian team by 8 wickets.
Sporty summer continues! Damian was in the crowd of 27,967 spectators at Lord’s Cricket Ground watching England face India in the second game of three-match One Day Internationals (ODI) series on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in St. John’s Wood, London. It appears Damian sat in the top tier of the JP Morgan Media Centre which is equipped with radio and television commentary boxes. Watch a little fun jabbing between Damian and the commentator in this video here.
Damian just might be a lucky charm because England won today by 86 runs. It was a slightly subdued finish to the match, with England coming out clear and deserved winners in the end. This win levels the series 1-1, with the decider taking place on Tuesday at Headingley.
