Vote Dick Winters Now! – Oct 5, 2018

Greatest HBO Character of All Time

by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | October 5, 2018

Click on the Twitter link below where “people are talking about this” and vote for Major Dick Winters from Band of Brothers, now!

UPDATE:

The results were all over the place. Some went with current characters, others delved deep into their back catalogue. Few, far as we could tell, mentioned any of the footballers on their early show 1st & 10, nor Arli$$. Most people, though, have ignored the whole “500 words or less” part and merely communicated in the way most people do these days: via gifs. Several characters made the final results, including Dick Winters! Thank you for voting. See all the results from Uproxx.

There weren’t a whole lot of upset winners at last Sunday’s Emmy Awards, but one of the few was Homeland star Damian Lewis, who beat out, among others, Mad Men‘s Jon Hamm and three-time winner Bryan Cranston of Breaking Bad to take home the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. On Saturday’s Weekend Edition, Lewis talks to NPR’s Scott Simon about his character, Nicholas Brody, and on how he — a British actor — came to play so many American men in uniform.

Damian Lewis, who stars as the P.O.W.-turned-plotter-turned-politician Nicholas Brody, was also nominated for best actor in a drama.
