We Are Celebrating 13 Years!

Can you believe it has been 13 years? How amazing is it that a fansite has survived that long? Well it is no surprise to us, as it’s a testament to Damian’s fan base and our not-so-little community that continues to grow every day. Fansites come and go, rarely making it past the average lifespan of four years. But we are different here at damian-lewis.com for three reasons: 1) Damian does not have an official website, 2) we get a little help from him endorsing the website on his social media profile, and 3) YOU.
Here’s our special message with love and gratitude to the fans who launched the website and ran it for years, to our wonderful readers and to Damian for constant inspiration!
Thank you to those who supported and visited us over the years, through the passing of the torch as the site got handed down, from one generation to the next. We cannot express our gratitude enough to all those who poured their hearts and souls into the site these 13 years. Our mission is to preserve their legacy and keep up the good work. This site is our baby!
If you’re wondering how this fansite came to be, here’s a little bit of our history: damian-lewis.com originated as an off-shoot of the Damian Lewis Yahoo! Group (DLYG), an online fan community that started in September 2001 during the HBO broadcast of Band of Brothers. A few years later a Coppermine gallery was developed to house the group’s expanding collection of images and on July 13, 2006 this fansite launched in order to pull together some of the group’s scattered pages and keep better track of the news and content produced by Damian’s fan community.
So cheers to all of you and thank you for celebrating 13 years with us here at damian-lewis.com. We look forward to many more!
