“Pretend We’re Having an Argument”
by Sho_Billions | YouTube | July 28, 2023
Axe: “I’m gonna poke you. Poke me back.” Dollar Bill: “I’ll poke you all goddamn day!”
Damian and Kelly break down the fake fight scene from Billions season 1, episode 10, “Quality of Life” that aired in 2016. Damian said he loved that scene and stated Kelly is a great comedian. The behind the scenes sit-down revealed that Kelly actually pushed Damian quite hard on his left shoulder during the filming, flaring up an old rotator cuff injury from 10 years prior, which would put said injury around 2005/2006. He told Kelly, “I’m gonna smack you in the chops if you do that again.” LOL đ Enjoy the behind the scenes video:

From Billions to Severance: Some of Your Favorite Shows are Already Seeing Significant Delays Due to the WGA Strike
by Grant Rindner | GQ Magazine | May 12, 2023
The ongoing writers strike may seem, at first glance, like a much bigger deal to the writers affected than to the average TV watcher. The longer it goes on, however, the greater the chances that one of your favorite shows could be among those disrupted. Thatâs how a strike works, after all, meant to show that âbusiness as usualâ is impossible without the contributions of the striking workers. Some of televisionâs biggest shows have already been affected. Since the Writers Guild of Americaâs strike was officially authorized on May 2, with Severance, Stranger Things, and the latest Game of Thrones spinoff among the shows being halted or otherwise directly impacted.
Issues motivating the strike are complex, but hinge in part on the industryâs move into streaming, and writersâ ensuing demands for contracts that reflect the new television paradigm. As GQ has covered, streaming doesnât provide the same continuing residuals that have represented a writerâs âgold ringâ for decades. The last writers strike took place in 2007, a time before streaming became the dominant method of distribution, and the WGA is also working to get protections related to the nascent use of AI in television writing.

Damian has been all over the streets of New York this week, either with his guitar busking or with his girlfriend Alison Mosshart. But now it’s down to business as he reprises his role as Bobby Axelrod for season 7 of Billions. Damian is seen here with Billions showrunners David Levien and Brian Koppelman at the restaurant Raoâs in East Harlem, with what looks like script pages in hand for episode filming đ Damian is definitely sporting that “Axey” hair. Also pictured is Kentucky head men’s basketball coach John Calipari who took to Instagram today to share this photo with the caption “Bumped into my friends David Levien and Brian Koppelman today and they were hanging with Damian Lewis.” View more images in our Gallery here.Â
We’re looking forward to seeing Axe back on our small screens soon!

Billions and Homeland

Streaming is a hopscotch game of services where the show you love will probably jump off the platform you pay for before you get a chance to finish it. Such is the horror of modernity. On the bright side, it also means that combining the right streaming services can act like a cheat code for gaining access to a bunch of cool, diverse series.
One of those cheat codes is getting Paramount+ with the Showtime add-on, ensuring you get prestige programming alongside network TV faves. Here are the 25 best shows you can watch when you combine Paramount+ with Showtime, and Damian Lewis stars in two of them:

He’s Back, Baby!
by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | November 7, 2022
We suspected Damian could possibly be shooting a scene or two for Billions when pictures surfaced after his Halloween weekend trip to Nashville and New Orleans showing him sporting what we felt was a “Bobby Axelrod” haircut and guess we were right!
Outlets are reporting Damian was pictured reprising his role as Bobby Axelrod in Billions this past Friday evening filming outdoors at the Tower of London, a year after announcing his exit from the series. Reports say he was seen chatting with crew members and former colleagues as he filmed including, Paul Giamatti (Chuck Rhoades), Maggie Siff (Wendy Rhoades) and David Costabile (Wags). Yet no photos of Giamatti were captured.

Billions
by Chance Morgan | Collider | July 16, 2022
We are living in a world of good TV overload. Everywhere you look, there’s a new network or streaming service launching with a slate of quality original programming.
With so much good TV out there, it’s fair that the members of the Television Academy can’t see everything. That being said, there have been some shows in the past few years that the Emmys have overlooked entirely when their quality is so high that they’re practically begging for recognition.
These shows got the short end of the stick:
BILLIONS
When you think about what show embodies the Showtime brand in the 2010s, chances are you think of Billions, a thrilling game of cat and mouse set in the world of stocks and finances. It focuses on two men: Bobby Axelrod, a hedge fund manager who is willing to break the law now and again to get the biggest payoff, played by the underrated Damian Lewis, and Chuck Rhoades, a U.S. Attorney in New York City determined to bring Axelrod to justice, even if he has to break a few laws himself, played by the brilliant and iconic character actor Paul Giamatti. Stuck in the middle of these two men’s masculinity measuring contests is Chuck’s wife, Wendy (Maggie Siff), who works for Axelrod as a performance coach.
You may not always understand the ins and outs of the action happening in Billions, what with the in-depth discussion of finances at its center, but with engaging and witty characters you can’t help but fall in love with, played by one of the best casts on television, it won’t matter because you’ll be hooked.
