Billions Season 5 Episode 7 Mid-Season Finale Recap: Vulture – June 14, 2020

Axe’s Little Helper

by Sarene Leeds | Vulture | June 14, 2020

The COVID-19 pandemic, which forced Billions to shut down seven episodes into its fifth season, may have been a blessing in disguise for the Showtime drama. The parallel national moment of reckoning regarding systemic racism makes it difficult right now to watch a series featuring predominantly ultra-wealthy white characters who consistently evade punishment for their illegal actions, while men and women continue to be murdered by police officers for the crime of being Black.

While I look forward to seeing the subsequent five episodes of the season, whenever that may be, I do think it’s for the best that the current season goes on this involuntary hiatus. Fans may have also noticed that most of the cast and crew have refrained from posting about the show on social media over the past couple of weeks, opting instead to use their platforms to amplify the Black Lives Matter movement.

Billions on Showtime, Season 5 Episode 7: The Limitless Sh*t – June 14, 2020

Is Anyone Incorruptible?

by Damianista | Fan Fun with Damian Lewis | June 14, 2020

I cannot believe this is the last episode of Billions Season 5 that we will see for a while! Since they had to stop shooting mid-March due to Covid-19 crisis – which gets a mention in this episode –  Episode 7 is the mid-season finale that leaves us with more questions than answers. I just hope that they can resume shooting as soon as possible when it is safe to do so, and given what we have seen so far, the rest of the season is sure to be a crazy ride! Hope you stay with us between the two halves of Season 5 because we still have a lot to say about what we have seen in the first seven episodes!

The Limitless Sh*t, written by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Emily Hornsby and directed by the one and only David Costabile, looks for an answer to a billion dollar question:

Is anyone incorruptible?

Billions Season 5 Episode 6 Recap: Forbes – June 8, 2020

The Real Deal

by Dana Feldman | Forbes | June 8, 2020

Everyone is faking it but who will actually make it? This is the question in the latest episode of Billions entitled “The Nordic Model.” Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder but for some, that depends on the monetary value of something. For others, you just cannot put a price on art.

Do you remember the art scheme Axe (Damian Lewis) agreed to with cohorts Danny Margolis (Daniel Cosgrove) and Victor Mateo (Louis Cancelmi)? The plan was to store replicas of Axe’s (incredible) art collection in a permanent tax free state in a free-port and report the stored paintings as genuine while secretly hanging the authentic pieces in his various homes.
