Damian Lewis Music Studio Photoshoot and Album Artwork

Visual Studio

by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | May 30, 2023

With a little over two weeks before his debut album is set for release on June 16, Damian took to social media to share a glimpse of him in the visual studio with artist Charlie Drinkwater to collage the artwork for Mission Creep. The cover art was influenced by Damian’s love of David Bowie, who worked with Andy Warhol and this idea of painting onto photographs. See the album artwork by Drinkwater, studio photoshoot by photographer Rhys Frampton and music videos in our Gallery here. Huge TV Star Lands Record Deal and Announces Debut Album After 30 Years On Screen

Career Change

by Simon Boyle | The Sun | April 12, 2023

Damian Lewis is cementing his move from screen to sound after landing a record deal.

The Homeland actor has secured a contract with Decca Records and will put out his debut album Mission Creep on June 16.

He’s made moves into music in recent years with a series of small live shows and today drops the first single from his record, called ‘Down On The Bowery.’

Damian is said to have channeled his heartache into the album two years after the death of his Peaky Blinders actress wife Helen McCrory.

Talking about writing it, Damian said: “I suddenly had a lot to say. People will judge if it’s any good or not, but for me it felt natural.”

He said he decided to make the album in lockdown having been a regular busker when he was younger.

The A-lister added: “I wanted the album to give a sense of a journey to this point – from busking ’til now.”

Decca also has Jeff Goldblum, who has successfully made the move from movies to music, on its books.

It sounds like Damian is in safe hands.
