Coffee To Cure EB Campaign
by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | November 6, 2023
Damian took to social media today to aid in the ‘Coffee To Cure EB‘ campaign. Damian has been a Patron of the charity since 2014 and encourages his followers to donate the price of the average coffee, £3, by texting CUREEB to 70560. Cure EB is a research-focused charity dedicated to finding effective treatments and a cure for all types of Epidermolysis Bullosa. Do it like Damian:
Please help this brilliant charity, which I am patron of, @CureEBorg, find a cure for this horrible skin disease and help prevent aggressive forms of skin cancer in early adulthood. Thank you, 🦋 pic.twitter.com/1cNfeaSzTU

Damian attended a party on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 67 Pall Mall to celebrate the life of wine expert Steven Spurrier, author of A Life of Wine. The 67 Pall Mall Group is a collection of private Members’ Clubs devoted to fine wine. Spurrier is the founder of the Académie du Vin, France’s first private wine school established in Paris in 1973. I can’t help but think of Damian’s Billions co-star Paul Giamatti with his memorable quote from the film Sideways, “If anyone orders Merlot, I’m leaving. I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot!” 😉

The Old Man and The Pool
by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | September 27, 2023
Damian and Alison recently attended Mike Birbiglia’s stand-up comedy show The Old Man and The Pool at Wyndham’s Theatre in the West End, London. View more images from the event in our Gallery. Readers may recognize Mike as Damian’s former Billions co-star who played Oscar Langstraat, a love interest of Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon). After a sell-out Broadway run, Mike took his show to Edinburgh, Scotland in August of this year and then to London from September 12 – October 7, 2023. Tickets can be purchased here.
According to the Guardian, the 80-minute show covers mortality and array of his medical diagnoses from bladder cancer, a severe sleep-walking disorder that requires him to go to bed each night in a sleeping bag while wearing mittens to prevent him from unzipping himself, type-2 diabetes and more recently, pulmonary issues. Now that might all sound doom and gloom, but as the Guardian quipped, “audiences will rarely have laughed so much while being invited to contemplate their own extinction” and New York Times claims, “The best comedy of the year.”

Vogue Brings Fashion Fantasia to the West End
by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | September 14, 2023
Damian and Alison walked the red carpet in style as they attended the star-studded Vogue World: London show at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London on Thursday, September 14, 2023. The theme and dress code for the evening was Opening Night for the 1,500 guests. Damian performed on stage in a punchy tartan frock coat and worked the crowd playing a hammy theater usher as part of the original comedy sketch Safety Curtain alongside James McAvoy, James Corden, Sienna Miller and others. The evening concluded with a live performance by the fabulous and talented Annie Lennox singing ‘Sweet Dreams.’ View more photos from the event in our Gallery.
Vogue brought its very own fashion fantasia to the West End as audience members and streaming viewers watched the magazine dramatically bring to life the pages of Vogue. Masterminded by BAFTA- and Olivier-winning director Stephen Daldry, show director Emily Burns, and creative producer Fran Miller, alongside the Vogue team, the evening ran the gamut of the performing arts—opera and ballet and theater, oh my—with a galaxy of fashionable stars ranging from Kate Moss, Jared Leto, Brian Cox and Cindy Crawford to Sophie Okonedo, Ian McKellen, Linda Evangelista and Stormzy. Other guests included Baz Luhrmann, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie and Maisie Williams.
