Catching Up with Damian on the Set of Billions Season 4 – Feb 25, 2019

It’s Tradition Now

by Damianista | Fan Fun with Damian Lewis | February 25, 2019

I personally promised several of you to write about my conversation with Damian when I caught up with him on Billions set back in December as soon as I come back from vacation. I have been buried under teaching and committee work and meetings since I came back that I have just been able to find some time to sit and write. And while it may be a while ago and that I do sometimes not remember what I had for dinner last night, I vividly remember my conversation with Damian 😀

This blog has had an interesting relationship with Billions. I launched the blog only two weeks before they started shooting the pilot in New York and I have been very lucky to catch up with Damian on the set once every season since. I do not know how many times you need to do a thing for it to become a tradition, but catching up with Damian on Billions set once a year certainly feels like a tradition now.

Damian Lewis Spends Adventurous Weekend Cycling in Cumbria – March 16, 2015

Homeland and Wolf Hall Star Damian Lewis Visits Cumbria

by Staff | News and Star | March 16, 2015

Damian Lewis with Dan Richards, owner of Lake District Cycling, at Penrith Station

Actor Damian Lewis spent an adventurous weekend cycling and running in Cumbria. The actor, known for his roles as Nicholas Brody in Homeland and Henry VIII in Wolf Hall, came up with his friends on Saturday morning from London on the first train.

He hired a bike from Lake District Cycling at Penrith Station before he and his friends cycled to Glenridding. They then spent the day running up and down Helvellyn, England’s third highest mountain, in wintry conditions.

A few weeks ago Dan Richards, owner of Lake District Cycling, was rather surprised to receive an answer phone message from Mr Lewis, asking if he could hire a bike.

Mr Richards said: “He was a genuinely charming, lovely guy. They committed to doing something that was a bit bonkers, frankly, but they all did it and seemed to have a really great time.”

The friends stayed the night in Penrith at The Agricultural Hotel before returning back to London on Sunday.
