Once Upon a Time in Hollywood boasts an impressive cast and a lot of them are featured in their own character posters. Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming movie has already had a bunch of great promotional posters modeled after fake movies from within Once Upon a Time and character posters featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. However, the latest posters expand on the cast and have been spotted on billboards in major cities. Luke Perry’s son Jack even found one of his father in Los Angeles and scaled it to pose for a picture.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton, Margot Robbie’s Sharon Tate, and Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth are all featured in the new Once Upon a Time in Hollywood posters. Luke Perry plays Scott in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and the movie serves as his last role on the big screen. The actor sadly passed away earlier this year after complications from suffering a massive stroke. Actress Margaret Qualley plays Cat, while Al Pacino plays Marvin Schwarzs and they have their own posters too.
Additionally, Mike Moh’s Bruce Lee, Timothy Olyphant’s Johnny, Kurt Russell’s Randy, and Damian Lewis’ Steve McQueen are all featured in the new Once Upon a Time in Hollywood posters. Even Sayuri the dog gets her own poster as Brandy. Quentin Tarantino has been going all out in promoting the upcoming movie, which has a considerable amount of hype surrounding it. The director has talked about calling it quits when it comes to taking big screen projects on, but he still has a few idea floating around which could turn into possible projects down the line, like a possible Kill Bill 3.

We are about three weeks away from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which opens in theaters July 26th! Still no sneak peek photos of Damian as Steve McQueen, but Quentin Tarantino recently shared his insights with ANI News regarding Leonardo DiCaprio’s rival role with Damian’s Steve McQueen:
“Leonardo DiCaprio plays an actor named Rick Dalton who had a very successful NBC series called Bounty Law. It started in the ’58-’59 season and ended in the ’63-’64 season. It came out the same season as Steve McQueen came out with Wanted Dead or Alive, and they’re pretty much identical shows. McQueen on Wanted Dead or Alive played a slim, cocksure bounty hunter named Josh, and on Bounty Law Rick Dalton played a slim, cocksure bounty hunter named Jake. And they were both equally popular on television for the time and the fan magazines played up the rivalry: ‘Josh or Jake, who’s the biggest hunk? We let our readers decide!’ He became quite popular and like McQueen during his hiatus, he started doing movies. And they did okay, but during McQueen’s hiatus, eventually, he did The Magnificent Seven, and that was that. So when McQueen goes back to his series to finish his last season, he’s a fucking movie star. Rick is still Jake…he doesn’t pull off the TV-to-movies transition.”

About one year from today, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood will hit theatres. Firm plot details are mostly being kept under wraps right now, but is rumoured to be split into thematic chapters in the style of Pulp Fiction – the story will take place in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969 at the height of hippy Hollywood when the Charles Manson cult was wreaking havoc. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor Sharon Tate, of the famed Manson Family murders. Even though the movie will deal with Charles Manson and the famed Manson Family murders, it’s been made clear that particular subject matter won’t be the main focus.
Damian has been cast in a small role as Steve McQueen but in what capacity, we do not know. For starters, the inclusion of Bruce Lee and Steve McQueen in the film is connected. Both actors were clients of Jay Sebring, a world-renowned hair stylist who was a major fixture in 1960’s Los Angeles. Sebring was known for bringing European hair techniques to America and he established a name for himself when he popularized the feathering and layering of male hair, which was dubbed the “Sebring Look.” Sebring helped Bruce Lee find work teaching kung fu to Hollywood stars, including Steve McQueen and Roman Polanski.
L to R: McQueen, Tate, Polanski
History states McQueen is said to have been invited by Jay Sebring to Sharon Tate’s (Roman Polanski’s wife) house dinner party, but he no-showed. Preparing to attend the dinner, McQueen ran into a female friend and decided to spend the evening with her instead. That night in 1969 would become one of the most notorious in modern American history: Tate and Sebring, along with two of their friends and Tate’s unborn child, were brutally murdered by the followers of Charles Manson. Spending the evening with his female friend saved McQueen’s life. His close call with death spooked him so bad that he went into a state of paranoia. His then-wife Neile Adams recalled that, after the murders, McQueen “became more paranoid and wouldn’t let me go anywhere without a gun.”
The facade of Jay Sebring’s former salon on Fairfax Ave in West Hollywood is being rebuilt. Sebring (Hirsch) reinvented the men’s haircut and the very image of a hairstylist. He was young and handsome and dated gorgeous actresses, including at one time, Sharon Tate. In the late ’60s, he owned a salon on the corner of Melrose and Fairfax that attracted a long list of celebrity clients, including Steve McQueen and Bruce Lee. At the time, barbers charged around $1.50 for a haircut, but a session with Sebring could cost up to $25.

As we wait for more information about Damian’s role as McQueen, let’s take a peek at additional set photos that are surfacing, as Los Angeles has been transported back in time. Store fronts, bus benches, theater marquee signs, billboards, neon signs and murals along Hollywood Boulevard and other West Hollywood thoroughfares have been gussied up to re-ceate the groovy, psychedelic era of the 60’s.

EXCLUSIVE: Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in America has added to its cast of characters wandering about in Los Angeles at the time Charles Manson’s Sharon Tate murders. The Sony picture has brought aboard Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr, Al Pacino, Keith Jefferson and Nicholas Hammond in supporting roles for a lineup that already includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth.
As befits a Tarantino film, the casting intrigues: Lewis will play Hollywood’s handsome ‘King of Cool’ and iconic actor Steve McQueen; Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson disciple who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Hirsch is Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders on Cielo Drive.
