Damian Lewis: Man on a Mission

On The Record

by Paul Kirkley | Weekend Magazine | July 27, 2023, Issue #658

Damian Lewis has the acting world at his feet – so why has he stepped out of the comfort zone to release a debut album and take it on tour? He tells Paul Kirkley about the challenge of changing career lanes – and why the first person he needed to convince was himself.

Damian Lewis has a cast-iron excuse for having slept through his 10am appointment with Weekend – he’s been up all night shooting scenes for his latest role as a vampire in supernatural comedy The Radleys. And vampires, famously, are not morning people.

10 Most Underrated TV Drama Actors

Bobby and Wendy

by Christine Persaud | ScreenRant | January 5, 2022

It seems the same names often get recognized for their roles in drama series, but there are other actors who are deserving of praise.

Every year during awards season, there are top actors who are praised for their performances in some of the biggest shows. Oftentimes, the same names appear, or during the run of a top show, the leads get their deserving accolades. Think Bryan Cranston during the Breaking Bad era, Claire Danes when Homeland was the drama du jour, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ impressive domination of the Best Actress in a Comedy category through Veep‘s entire run.

But there are some actors who have consistently appeared in some of the highest rated shows or had major roles in specific ones past and present, who don’t get the recognition they so rightfully deserve, and it’s time they receive their moment in the spotlight.

Self-Quarantine with Damian

by Gingersnap | damian-lewis.com | March 18, 2020

Coronavirus. CoVid-19. Pandemic. Social Distancing. Self-Isolation. Quarantine. Flatten the Curve. Stop the Spread. Stay the F Home. These words and phrases are flooding our everyday lives at home, at work, and as we go down the rabbit hole on social media.

If you’re looking for some escapist TV and movies during self-isolation, we’ve rounded up some of the best Damian-filled films and shows to binge, stream, or watch OnDemand. Let’s get started.

Homeland – Find it on Amazon Prime, Hulu, or Showtime OnDemand. Arguably one of the best television series with masterclass acting and storytelling. CIA officer Carrie Mathison (Clare Danes) fears and US Marine Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis)  is plotting a terrorist attack on America after being turned during his eight years held captive by al-Qaeda. It’s a compelling rollercoaster ride of red herrings, intrigue, politics and subterfuge.
