At the MOMA and After-Party

Damian attended the screening of Hotel Mumbai on Sunday night, March 17, 2019 at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Bleecker Street and ShivHans Pictures hosted the special screening. The film is based on the 2008 attack on the Taj Hotel in Mumbai that lasted four days and involved numerous shooting and bombing attacks. The film focuses on how the Indian hotel staff worked to try and save as many guests as possible during the attack.
The after-party took place at another hotel, Ian Schrager’s recently opended Time Square Edition, where fellow cast members, including Dev Patel, Anupam Kher and Jason Isaacs, were joined by Damian Lewis, Ryan Eggold, CLive Davis and Katie Couric.

Damian Attends MOMA Film Benefit: A Tribute to Tom Hanks

Damian attended the 9th annual Museum of Modern Art film benefit for Tom Hanks on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Other guests included, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, Anna and Graydon Carter, Clint Eastwood, David Geffen, Ron Howard, Karl Lagerfeld and Julianne Moore. The event, presented by CHANEL, honored Mr. Hanks as a steadfast screen presence of more than 30 years, from the early days of his career to his greatest accomplishments.
Both Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg were instrumental in Damian’s early career, casting him as Dick Winters in the famed HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
All proceeds of the event benefited the Department of Film, MOMA.

All Dressed Up in Denim

On Wednesday, October 7, 2015, stars such as Robert Redford, Cate Blanchett, John Benjamin Hickey, Dennis Quaid, Dermot Mulroney, Andy Cohen, Donna Karan and more were in attendance at the screening of the film Truth,
which premiered at MoMA in New York City.
First-time director James Vanderbilt described the film as if journalism was the star of the evening, from the red carpet to the film, which tells the story of CBS anchor Dan Rather and his “60 Minutes” producer Mary Mapes’ infamous ousting after their broadcast questioning of George W. Bush’s military service.
Hosted by the Cinema Society, Damian attended the after party at Armani Ristorante, along with the rest of the guests.
